Time to Normalize Incest

Incest is best.

If you were immature like me in your younger years you might have told your friends “incest is best” not so much because you believed it but because it rhymed, you wanted a laugh and it was so taboo.

But with much debauchery now accepted as normal today why hasn’t the last frontier in sexual freedom been tackled? Give it time. I predict in the coming years the ever-changing pride flag will include another color for the incestuous crowd and expect those engaging in such behavior to demand special rights and acceptance. A sister wife will take on a whole new meaning.

Ten years ago, the idea that biological men identifying as women should be allowed to compete as women in women’s sports would have, across all political spectrums, been dismissed as absurd and a ridiculous assertion. My how times have changed.

So, let’s just get it over with and include incestuous physical unions. Love is Love, right? I see these silly banners outside homes and I want to ask the occupants some things, but I resist. Can anyone have sex with your wife, sir? Love is love, right? At any rate, I think now, humans can marry their dogs. They can also marry themselves. I saw that a few weeks ago in the news. So why can’t brothers and sisters marry. Or even better, a MAP to their 10-year old son or daughter.

Consider Lot and his two daughters. The three survivors of Sodom and Gomorrah offer a bedtime story most parents skip. Many mistakenly believe God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality. Yes, the town was consumed with radicalized sexual behavior but God reduced it to rubble because of pride. Interesting how Americans honor pride month to celebrate all kinds of radicalized sexual behavior.

But incest? No way you say. But, yes, of course! And here’s why I think in the coming years if the Lord tarries we will see the normalization of incest.

Are you a MAP? Do you know what MAP stands for? Minor attracted person. Not pedophile. MINOR ATTRACTED PERSON. An adult in a sexual relationship with a child wasn’t just considered taboo but morally wrong. Today, the tide it seems has changed, slowly drifting us towards acceptance. Because that’s the right thing to do.

Therefore, two adult relatives engaged in a consensual love affair has to be better than pedophilia, right? So why wouldn’t society accept incestuous love? Seems almost odd it hasn’t happened already. You may say “not a chance” but…

How many alcoholics or drug addicts do you know started out as an alcoholic or drug addict? You take a sip or a hit off a joint and work your way up to an all-day drunken stupor or black tar heroin. Similarly, we started with normalizing regular straight up homosexuality which moved to legalizing gay marriage and now drag queens and transgenders demand the acceptance limelight.

Therefore, do you think Lot’s daughters said, “Let’s have sex with dad so we can continue the family line,” without ever having been exposed to incest? Jesus says the end times will parallel the days of Lot and Noah. We see that. Remember the crowd of men who tried banging down Lot’s doors to have sex with the two angels? Lot offered his daughters instead.

“Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh…” - Jude 1:7

Neither Lot’s offer to the mob nor his daughters’ plan to get him drunk is likely a kneejerk reaction. It’s a slow, tearing down of societal norms and behavior acceptance walls. What I think many overlook in the Lot and his daughters story is incest was just one of many ways people went after strange flesh in Sodom and Gomorrah and as a result Lot’s daughters were used to this scenario. Perhaps they had friends engaging in incest but at the very least the practice was probably more common than not and incest became normalized thus the two young ladies probably had little trouble in their decision to have sex with their dad in order to continue the family line.

Getting from zero to 100 takes a bit of effort; it doesn’t happen overnight. And just as in the days of Noah and Lot, the United States has gone from zero and now quickly ramping up to 100.
