Every one of us knows what it’s like when things go wrong, when things don’t turn out like we’d expected and hoped.
Unhappily, even if we’ve known the Lord for many years, and had loads of lovely experiences of his help and supply of our true needs, we can easily slip back into anxiety, worry, impatience etc., and we fail to live out what we have so often professed.
Even so! Our blessed Lord is patient with us, loving, caring - the perfect Father of his blood-bought children.
Hallelujah!

"Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labour of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation."
