Psalm 23:1 (KJV)

(A Poem Dedicated to Jesus, He is known by many great titles, one of them being: Our good Shepherd. We can look up and see His face today, eyes of grace and compassion gazing back down at us. He loves us unconditionally, He cares much for every one of us, He knows what concerns us, and while in His presence, He leads us into places where all things are possible as long as our Shepherd is near, leading the way, and He certainly always is).

Lord, because you are my Shepherd, How could I want for more? In the richness of your presence, I am the King's child, and never poor. Jesus, you guide me to still, calm waters, where joy abounds, and I am at peace, As I dwell beside you, every threat around me shall cease. For as I look around me, I now see my every enemy, They sit around the table, as I sit there in the seat you have prepared for me. And Lo, Right beside, even now, you sit there next to me, And I know while you are near, you are the only One I really see. What shall I then fear? Who can stand against me when you are ever close, For you are my strong keeper, my Protector, Provider, and in darkness, my shining Light, You are the God who goes before me, you are with me in this fight. Your rod, your staff, they comfort me, Your goodness and mercy have followed me, and they will continue behind me forevermore, And one great day, I will live with you forever in that heavenly city of our good Shepherd, Lamb, and Lord. Because you are my Shepherd, I have all I need and should desire, and so much more, Because you are my Shepherd, you also are my Lord. The only One I bow to, at the feet of Mercy, The feet of Grace, the only One I need look up to, and there I see the Shepherd's face. Based on a treasured Psalm of the bible, Chapter 23.
