Our Father

God- the Holy and perfect One,
Who reigns supreme, above all;
Whose great power knows no limits;
Before Whom, each knee will fall.

Yet, before we took the first breath,
Our unformed substance, He knew.
He knit us together with care,
And gave the breath of life, too.

Our God chose us, and loved us first,
Before we, His name did know.
Then He sought and drew us to Him,
And His great love, did bestow.

Our Father calls us His own;
Adopted, and saved from sin!
How He rejoices over us,
As He does His work within!

Our soul at last has found rest,
Safe, in our Father’s arm.
His voice dispels our doubt and fear,
And He keeps us from alarm.

Our Father, all powerful,
Bids us come to Him with all;
Never doubting, or e’en afraid;
For He will hear when we call!

Our Father loves to give rewards,
To those who truly seek Him!
He’s e’en preparing us a home,
That ne’er will fade or grow dim.

Our Father wants our very all;
The devotion of our heart.
He wants to make us much like Him,
And shine through every part.

Our Father asks obedience,
That in His love, we may dwell.
But oh the joys as we obey,
And His love to others, tell.

Our Father wants to dwell with us
Each moment of ev’ry day;
Walking and talking together,
As He guides us in His way.

He gives us His Holy Spirit,
His truth and comfort to give.
He does not leave us alone,
But teaches us how to live.

Our Father sees our ev’ry need,
Whether it is big or small.
His hand supplies abundantly;
Oft’ before we even call.

Who can fathom our Father’s heart,
Or know the depths of His love?
One day we will see His dear face,
And live with Him up above!
