So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. Romans 7:4 NIV

Now, dying to the law does not mean that we do not obey the law. It just means that we don’t live as a slave of it. If the law is in alignment with what God teaches, then we should certainly obey it. The law that we must always be slave to and obedient to is the law of God. We gave up the idea of belonging to this world, and its family when we were buried with Christ. We then became a member of God’s family, the body of Christ. So, live your life as a member of the body of Christ.
