THERE IS!

Not ‘There might be’.
Not ‘There could be’.
No! “There is!”

Today, the world is in deep trouble.
Discouragement abounds.
Millions of people despair of things ever getting better.
A long time ago, Solomon wrote, “There is nothing new under the sun”.
Ecclesiastes 1:9

Over 2000 years ago, Israel was mightily discouraged. They had sinned against the Lord over and over again.
They had suffered God’s anger.
They had been exiled.
They had repeatedly suffered at the hands of their enemies.
They had been attacked as they were rebuilding Jerusalem and its walls.
It all seemed so depressing. Even the prophet Ezra seemed to sink in despair as he heard of all the troubles.

Suddenly a shaft of light blazed into that dark situation.
“There IS hope!”
Not ‘There might be hope’.
Not ‘There could be hope’.
But “There IS hope!”
“Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, spoke up and said to Ezra, ‘We have trespassed against our God, and have taken pagan wives from the peoples of the land; yet now there is hope in Israel in spite of this.’”
Ezra 10:2.

Yes!
There is glorious hope in Jesus for you and me today!
Hallelujah!
