The World Is Ripe For The AntiChrist

The world is almost begging for a global leader who can end the trouble and perilous times in which civilization finds itself. It has been noted by several writers that the world does not have a real leader at present. When one stops and thinks about that, it probably is an accurate statement! The response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine drives home the necessity for this. Therefore, it is time for someone to “step up to the plate” and hit a home run in the field of world events.

    This world leader will have a supernatural ability to solve the world’s problems. He will unify the globe. Revelation 13:7-8 says “authority was given him over every tribe and people and language and nation, and all who dwell on the earth will worship him.” Notice this verse says, “authority was given him.” This means he will rise to power by peaceful means, not by force. Many Bible scholars believe this person is at present “waiting in the wings” to come on the scene at just the right moment. There will be a Great Reset, but not the kind Klaus Schwab envisions. This person will be the anti-christ. 

     At first he will come across as very sincere, bringing peace, unity, and prosperity to the planet. The whole earth will follow him because of his attractive personality, and leadership ability, but that will all change over time. II Thessalonians 2:3-4 describe him as a person of lawlessness, deception, and destruction. Daniel 8:22-25 lists traits of the anti-Christ, which Dr. David Jeremiah gives as all “D” words:”dramatic in appearance, destined to do evil, dynamic in leadership, demonic in power, destructive in his reign, deceitful in his practice, deifying himself, and disguising his cruelty with peace promises”(Jeremiah Study Bible, page 1101).

     This leader’s rise to power will be by “the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who...refused to love the truth and so be saved”(II Thessalonians 2:9-10). This is not at all surprising since Satanism is dramatically increasing, and the anti-Christ himself will be possessed!

     Europe has been saying for some time that they “don’t care who this guy is, if he can give us what we want, we’ll worship him even if he is the devil in disguise.” Paul-Henri Spark, former Belgium Prime Minister and the President of the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe said, “What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the allegiance of all people and to lift us out of the economic morass in which we are sinking. Send us such a man and, be he God or the devil, we will receive him.” (1)

   The spirit of anti-christ is already in the world’s culture because it is written in I John 4:2-3 that denial of who Jesus Christ is, is the spirit of anti-Christ. 

     Put your faith in the real Jesus today. He is the Son of God in human flesh, who died on a cross and rose from the dead. He is, indeed, the Savior of the world (John 4:42), who is able to save your soul from eternal judgment. The decision is yours, to worship the anti-Christ, or worship the real Jesus. What will it be?
