Encouragement
Are you seeking the peace that surpasses all understanding? If your answer is yes, then you are on your way to a victorious way of living.
We all face circumstances on a day to day basis, but when you learn to release those problems into the hands of God Almighty(El Shaddai), you will find perfect rest. Then you will be able to sleep at night, while He works out the solution for you because He never sleeps nor slumbers.
Why should we worry anyway, we can't control the circumstance? But, we can change it in the Spiritual realm, by praying and casting it in the hands of God and leaving it there. All things are possible with God, He is the yoke destroying, burden removing, Almighty God!
By worrying we are only harming ourselves, both physically and mentally. Worry is one of the main causes of suicide, stroke, and heart attacks. Our bodies are the temples of God, and He does not want us to harm them, that's why He says to cast your cares upon Him, because He knows and cares for us.
In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus says that we are more valuable to Him than the birds in the air and the lilies in the field, yet He still provides for them. What more will He do for us, if we just trust in His word? God wants us to totally trust and depend on Him, to continually seek His word, abide in it and apply it to our lives.
As Christian women, we really have to keep focus on the Lord, because we have various hats to wear. We have to be supportive to our homes, our husbands, our children, school activities, and jobs if we are working outside of the home. We also have to keep the home in line spiritually.
It is true that the husband is the Spiritual head of the household, but the wife is the Spiritual thread that holds it together and makes the house-WHOLE. If we are not at peace within ourselves, then the house will be divided and it will reflect on our marriage, our family, and our ministry.
Here is a list of things that I feel will give you the inner peace that you are seeking:
Rise early in the morning for prayer time with just you and the Lord. (See Proverbs 31:15a)
Confess the desires of your heart to the Lord and believe that the manifestations will come to pass. (See Romans 10:10)
Do not receive a negative report from the world. (See Exodus 23:1, Philippians 4:8)
Be submissive to your husband, even if he is not a believer. When you submit, believe it or not, you are in control. (See Proverbs 31:12, 1 Peter 3:1-6)
Intercede for your household and family. (See Philippians 4:2-8, 1Timothy 2:1)
Stay away from negative people, especially those who are in the world. That does not mean that we should mistreat anyone or turn them away if they are in need of ministering, but as Christians we have to be discerning of certain spirits. Remember that 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 says that we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. We should first be prayerful seeking God's wisdom and asking Him for the right words to give encouragement.
Do not be insecure in your marriage. Get secure in the Lord and His word, this will allow you to feel secure with yourself. If you are seeking after God, and your mind is stayed on Him, then you will not have time to worry about your husband. When the spirit of insecurity tries to invade your thoughts, you will know how to take authority over it. Remember in my last article, “Taking Control of Your Thoughts”, I stated that the mind is the enemy’s playing field. Start going into your prayer closet, praying in the Spirit, walking in the Spirit realm, and resisting the Devil. Stand against him with the authority and the Blood of Jesus Christ! The bible says to resist the Devil and he will flee.
Find yourself a God fearing group of intercessors intercessory prayer helps break the chains that bind. (See Matthew 18:18,19)
There are a lot of hurting women in Body of Christ who are experiencing similar challenges, but they are afraid to open up to each other and talk about it. Do not feel as if you are alone, there is always someone else who can identify with you and who has a listening ear and is willing to give words of encouragement.
God bless you and stay strong in the Word†
