I will love the Lord,
For He heard my cry;
My pleas not ignored,
That caused me to sigh.

He inclined His ear,
As long as I live;
Knowing He is near,
Willing to forgive.

The sorrows of death,
Has encompassed me;
As Sheol takes my breath,
That I cannot flee.

I suffered distress,
Found troubled anguish;
Putting in duress,
Making me languish.

I pray to the Lord,
Deliver my soul;
Help me to afford,
Embrace to console.

Gracious is the Lord,
Merciful is God;
Is loved and adored,
To honor and laud.

When I was brought low,
He preserves the plain;
Making blessings flow,
And eases my pain.

Return to my rest,
For the Lord has dealt;
Bountifully best,
To where I have dwelt.

He rescued from death,
And my eyes from tears;
Restoring my breath,
And calming my fears.

I walk for the Lord,
Where I am living;
And in one accord,
Who is forgiving.
