Dry and undone, once again,
The walls of my heart burn
And the blisters are hard to bear;
Sullen, with a sense of the misbegotten,
This is my current lot.

Yet, I can’t forget You,
The sky, with it’s burning blue,
Only screams of the Blessed One.

My frail emotions are such a light affliction;
And the world around me
Is perplexed at my state.

Let them be so,
For their perplexity glorifies You,
As does my arid soul.

Break me, bind me;
Burn me, refine me,
In the dry, I’ll praise You, most high.

My love is stronger than death;
It leaps on the highest hills;
For my love is You.
