Today’s a very special day,
His fans and family know,
If he were still alive he’d be,
A rockin’ seven oh!

So light the candles, cut the cake,
And pick a song to sing.
Then shake you hip and curl your lip,
In memory of the King.

I came to know Jesus the King of Kings as a result of listening to the Gospel music of Elvis Presley when I was a child.

I am now an Elvis Presley tribute artist and officially associated with Elvis Presley Enterprises. How? Read on.

I was contacted by Darwin Lamm of Elvis International Forum back in October 2004 in reference my poetic talents. Darwin was familiar with my writing as a result of an award winning tribute poem I had wrote about Elvis that he came across on the internet.

Darwin wanted to know if I could write a poem honoring the would be 70th birthday of Elvis for the birthday issue of Elvis International Magazine due out in December of 2004, Darwin further requested the poem be short and powerful. I told Darwin I would work on it and get back with him. I wrote the above poem and Darwin was very pleased. The poem will be in the magazine and the magazine went to press, 11/29/2004 and distribution will begin in December 2004.
