A Mistake
The words I said
Who was I trying to kid?
Saying that this is what you did
I know for certain
I left you hurtin
Please don’t pull down the curtain
I made you cry
I wanted to die
Why did I tell you such a lie?
I still see an eternity when I look in your eye
To say you’re responsible
Is impossible
If it were possible
Wish I would of been more reasonable
So the pain
Wouldn’t be so vain
I have nothing left to gain
A feeling fueled by desire
I needed not create a fire
A fire ignited by jealousy strengthening this fire
Till the end
I need to mend
I love a friend
I wanted it so much
I wanted to feel her touch
I realized that our love needs a crutch
Now I cry
For causing you to cry
For this I musnt deny
How can I rectify
Putting a tear in your eye
I wish I didn’t crucify
A love that said I’d hold till I die
Now I’m left with no harmony
Is this my destiny?
Will I find ecstasy?
