In the 60s, popular 60s singer Donovan sang:

When you think of a witch, you think of Halloween. Last time I looked out my window, I saw something strange. It's not even Halloween, but this season is upstaged, at least in a store where I work, by Christmas, which has become the season of greed. Do you think our culture today is pushing Christmas, with its gaudy displays, ahead of schedule because it is overanxious, excited about the memory of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ? I think not. In their heads they must be hearing "cha-ching cha-ching ding a ling. It's Christmas time for big business." They have to pick up every stitch (of money).

Like the Beatles' nowhere man, modern business and big tech doesn't have a point of view. They push garbage like critical race theory, a tool used by Maxists, spew out the junk science of mask mandates, just to gain favor, money, from the likes of Red China. Our own government, which is spiritually deprave, favors businesses that plays ball with its agenda, and hurts small businesses and those who don't play ball with them. Evangelical churches have been the target of lockdowns. They are among those not given the Big Brother seal of approval.

Recently I read about a guy who became homeless because the restaurant he worked in was shut down because it was a victim of one of Big Brother's arbitrary lockdowns. But despite being a victim of government overreach, things worked out for him. A good samaritin reached out to him, and learning he was a cook, got him his own food truck, which was his dream.

Consequently, he and his wife could move into an apartment.
Unlike the strange, , mercenary, ungodly twisted counterfeit Christmas, the real Christmas is a celebration of Jesus, who died for our sins. Jesus dropped the charges of the consequences of our sin, enternal damnation. God has our best interests at heart.

"For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
