Speak to me sweet oblivion,

Out of the cool darkness of your deep silent waters.

Call my name from the tops of the highest peaks,

From the valleys of despair and the plains of unforgetfulness.

Sing me songs of deceit, tell me lies of peace

Offer me tales of comfort and joy that are not to be believed

For I am a seeker of everything I have no desire for

And in the darkness of this day I have found what I have sought.


Find me amidst the tangled webs

Of choice, chance and obscure circumstance,

That bend my consciousness and break my resolve

Forget me not and guide me out of this pit into an uncertain nothingness




Where On this kings highway lies the path to tranquility?

On what distant shore will I find the ransom for life?

How high must I climb to see the path set before me?

Why must we struggle in the darkness of baseless beliefs?

Who is master of reason and the keeper of purpose?

When will the light of day be bright enough to light the emptiness of this world?



Rejoice for the darkness has been pierced

The mysteries of life and death have been unveiled


The truth is alive and well

Faith has marked our path and grace has charted our course

The price has been paid and the ransom has been well received

Peace has been found in a higher purpose and a greater good



For one more hour I shall wait on the presence of the Lord

For one more day I shall trust in the surety of his word

For his grace and his mercy have found me in darkness

And with his love I will overcome this world

Enduring with peace

Persevering with hope

Finding Victory in Faith
