On this site in my article, THE ENIGMA OF BURNT OFFERINGS, and in some other recent ones, I suggest that we are in or very nearly in a 10-year countdown to the visible return of Jesus Christ. I believe that further evidence for that are the days mentioned in the book of Daniel. Firstly, there are the "2,300 evenings and mornings" (Daniel 8:14) of the regular sacrifice--1 lamb at sunset and 1 lamb at sunrise--that will happen in Israel before they are stopped by the Jewish Antichrist in the middle of Daniel's 70th "week" (Daniel 9:27), the last 7 years, probably on the same day that he kills Moses and Elijah, after they have preached Messiah Jesus for 1260 days (Revelation 11:3) in Jerusalem. By the way, the 4th Jewish Temple (after Solomon's, Zerubbabel's and Herod's) does not have to be completed for these sacrifices to begin. They may not even begin in Jerusalem, but they will be stopped when they are being made in front of the 4th Temple. I believe that they will begin very shortly, at least within a year from now.

 

Secondly, we have "1290 days" after "the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up" (Daniel 12:11). The "abomination of desolation" is probably the "image" of the Jewish Antichrist which will be "set up" in Jerusalem. (See Revelation 13:14.) My guess is that King Jesus will visibly return at the end of these 1290 days to fight for the regenerate remnant of Israel, perhaps a literal 144,000 saved Israeli men (Revelation 7:4-8; 14:1-5) with perhaps a similar number of saved Israeli women with perhaps a similar number of saved Israeli children, perhaps about half a million Israelis.

 

Thirdly, we have "1,335 days," which is a 45-day extension to the "1,290 days." Here is how Daniel 12: 12 reads:

 

I suspect that this means that King Jesus will defeat His enemies in 45 days. Then we will enter into the Eternal State with the New Earth.

 

Totalling "2,300 evenings and mornings" and "1,290 days" yields 3,590 days. Dividing that by 365.25 days per year, equals 9.83 years. Totalling "2,300 evenings and mornings" and "1,335 days" yields 3,635 days. Dividing that by 365.25 days per year, equals 9.95 years. Both results are very, very close to 10 years exactly, so clearly they coincide with the 10-year countdown to the visible return of Christ that I believe the Bible prophesies. The bottom line is: look for the daily regular sacrifice to begin within a year from now.
