A God fearing leader
All dressed and dignified in the pulpit
A shepherd of God’s flocks
A companion of the Lord
A student of the word of God
Keeping the flocks of God fed and nourished spiritually
Pastors are Key
To helping set sheep free
Helping set sheep free from sin
Letting them know that with God they will win
They will win this game of life
And one day enjoy the gift of eternal life
As a shepherd he or she must also give the flock water
And help it labor when giving birth to new life
As a shepherd he or she must be a follower of Christ
And a proud doer of the word of God
For he or she must diligently practice what he or she preaches
He or she must understand what he or she teaches
Many souls a pastor reaches
Pastors are a shining light in the midst of the congregation
Helping lead lost sheep out of darkness
and into the light of the powerful word of God
