GOD OR MAN

By Paul Taylor

Proverbs 3:1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

Psalm 19:7   The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

It’s amazing that today, we have thousands upon thousands of books filled with numerous and varying laws to cover any act of criminal and or civil deeds, and add to that the millions of lawyers, judges, legislators, and assistance to oversee and execute them, and we still can’t get it right.

Yet Gods law is written on just two tables of stone, which signifies endurance, and only has ten laws, which cover all areas of life. Why just 2 stones?

Exodus 31:18  And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

God’s Ten Commandments are separated into two groups for a reason. The first group written on one stone consists of Commandments 1-4 which is the instructions for our relationship, honoring and worship of God. The next 5 through 10 commandments  concerns the relationship  and treatment we should have with  each other.

Those ten laws, or commandments from God covers every aspect of human life and if kept as God directs us, the blessings are innumerable, but if we reject these laws and refuse to adhere,  the consequences can be fatal.

A careful study of the history of the Hebrews (12 tribes of Israel) and their constant rejecting of Gods statutes and commandments will give us and indication of where we are today.  God blessed this nation because its founders came here escaping the deadly persecutions of the church/state of Europe, so they could worship God as the Bible teaches, recognizing that  putting God first and foremost was essential.

Today we have abandoned God’s commandments and statutes for man’s so as to be politically correct,  conforming to man’s modern ways and commandments rather than God’s commandments.
Mark 7:7,9  Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men….    9  And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

God allowed the Assyrians to take captive and scatter the ten northern tribes of Israel for their constant and deliberate disobedience to His commandments and statutes. The two remaining tribes of Judea and Benjamin were later taken captive and caried away to Babylon because they too had turned from the true worship of God and followed man’s traditions and rituals. Are we so brazen and bold as to believe God will not bring judgement against us as He did to all the nations before us?  Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not.

Psalm 19:8, 10   The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes…10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

The first four commandments detail’s our relationship with God

1 We are to place no other gods before God;  materialistic, wealth, pleasure, entertainment, etc…

2  We are not to bow down or worship any idols, statues, etc…

3 We are not to use God’s name in vain; omg, %&# cursing, swearing, etc…

4  We are to remember and keep Holy, God’s Seventh Day Sabbath holy; no work, no shopping, no pro entertainment, etc… (Isaiah 56:6 , Isaiah 58:13,14)

These are the first four to honor God  and showing our obedience to Him. Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Deut 6:5, 10:12 Mark 12:30 Luke 10:27

The 5th through the 10th is our relationship with each-other.

5  We are to honor and love our parent’s. take care of and show respect.

6  We are not to maliciously take another life (murder) such as abortion.

7  We are to be faithful and true to our spouse.

8  We are not to steal – not even a paper clip. If it’s not yours, it’s stealing.

9  We are not to lie.  There is no such thing as a “little white lie.”

10 We are not to desire what others have. Keeping up with the Joneses

Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Deut 6:5, 10:12 Mark 12:30 Luke 10:27    38  This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. (Lev 19:18 Matt 5:43 Matt 19:19 Mark 12:31 Rom 13:9 Gal 5:14 Jam 2:8)    40  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

People, it’s time for all to put aside the world and its sinful, hell steering ways, and turn back to God and His commandments and statutes if we expect to be in the New Heaven and Earth. Pick up your Bibles, read God’s word for yourself, search out the truth and most of all  seek the truth through God’s word and His Holy Spirit.

I have taken a lot of flak and insults from various sides for speaking the truth as written in God’s word. I am only the messenger and as a Christian it is my duty to speak only the truth, God will take it from there. You can choose to follow God and His ways, or you can reject them for man’s, the choice is yours. “CHOOSE WISELY”

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Jesus said in John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

May God add a blessing to the going forth of His word.
