                     Alone with God is not Loneliness

 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. Mathew 14:23 NKJV

Over my years walking with our Lord, I have come to recognize calm, and wise discernment being alone, in the power of His presence. Sometimes when our heart becomes overwhelmed with fear of uncertainties, those precious moments alone, to listen for our Intercessor’s Spiritual promptings, might be the same reason our Lord Jesus would often look forward to solitude with the Father.

So precious, are those moments, learning to be still before the Creator of the universe. If we’re truly honest with ourselves, it can be difficult to say nothing, when the heart feels anxious. However, we can better hear those Spiritual promptings when yielded to seeking those things above, rather than allow our human reasoning or feeling’s to dictate.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 1 John 5:14-15

Thank you Father, for those seasons in my life that have taught me how to recognize your Holy Spirit. By grace revealing truths I could never understand without your presence, and the preeminence of your grace in my heart to lean upon.

Praying your written promises also, are better than my words or thoughts. They bring blessed assurance, in learning to be a good listener. Moments alone with you are never lonely. Thank you Holy Spirit, for being my intercessor, AMEN
