The special occasion is very near,
Another admittance to a new year.

Time to reflect the old and new,
Time to plan resolutions of what to do.

Many ask, what will this new year bring,
Some answer dishearteningly, not a thing.

While others encouragingly say,
They hope for an enriched future and a better day.

Whatever your expectations may be,
Know that God has abundant blessings in store for you and me.

The New Year has already been preordained,
Through the Blood of the Lamb who has been slain.

He was before the creation of the earth,
Before a Virgin presented him in uncommon birth.

Jesus was profoundly prophesied about,
In hope by God of leaving us little doubt.

During His unpretentious arrival,
Mankind once existed in a mentality of survival.

We can now be confident and secure,
That God will give us good and perfect gifts all through this year.

Thank you, Father God, that your promises are always yes and amen,
Thank you, that your ear to us you always lend.

And thank you, Father God, that we can have no fear,
Leaning our confidence in you for a marvelous and brighter new year!
