I believe that he did. As I've written in another article or two on this site, I believe that God tilted the earth 23.5 degrees, or some portion thereof, to cause the flood in Noah's day. It is the tilt of the earth that gives us seasons of the year. Such a tilt would bring sudden freezing temperatures and snow in the far northern hemisphere and explains why almost edible wooly mammoths with tropical plants in their stomachs have been found in the frozen northern tundra. It also explains why there is a rainy season in the tropics with rainbows, which Noah had never seen before. It likely also explains the continental shelves and submerged coastal cities. And it likely also explains why there was "no rain" (Genesis 2:5) in the first seven "days" (years) of creation (after 14 billion, without macro evolution).

Further, the tilt of the earth allows for many more cosmic rays (cosmic radiation) to get through the earth's magnetic field to cause much quicker aging in creatures on the earth. I believe that this explains why some humans before the flood lived almost to 1,000 years of age and why after the flood, longevity decreased to what it is today. It is possible, that since this decrease didn't happen overnight, that God gradually tilted the earth on its axis over a period of time, until it reached its present tilt of 23.5 degrees. This would explain why someone like Abraham lived to be 175 years of age. By the way, Assyrian king lists mythologized the long lives of the ancients to the tens of thousands of years.
