As you know, nobody knows the day and hour of the Second Coming, but I have a good guess at the year. Out of interest, I was doing some figuring the other day to get a better idea of when to expect the next big regional Mideast war.
If Christ does return exactly 2000 years after His resurrection, on the Sunday after Passover, that date will be Apr 21, 2030. Now Daniel tells us that there will be 2300 days of regular sacrifices on the Temple Mount before they are abolished by the Jewish Antichrist, followed by apparently 1335 days until the Second Coming. That puts the regular sacrifices beginning on May 8, 2020. That is a Friday and the orthodox Jews would likely start on a Saturday, so we'll say May 9, 2020.
The point is that, if I am right, this next big war must happen soon to enable these sacrifices to begin on the Temple Mount. Earlier, I thought that the fourth Temple would have to be built before the regular sacrifices could begin, but they could start before the Temple is built.
Anyway, my guess is that this war will happen in 2020. Things between Israel and Iran are certainly shaping up for that.
Here are the relevant verses:
13 Then I heard a (R)holy one speaking, and another holy one said to that particular one who was speaking, “(S)How long will the vision about the regular sacrifice apply, [o]while the transgression causes horror, so as to allow both the holy place and the host [p]to be (T)trampled?” 14 He said to me, “For (U)2,300 evenings and mornings; then the holy place will be [q]properly restored.” Daniel 8
11 From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the [m](Y)abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 How (Z)blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the (AA)1,335 days! Daniel 12
