Balance Due? Zero

My sin debt is paid in full by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. The price that Jesus paid for me was very high—It cost Him His life. To think, He endured ridicule, accusations, beatings, and excruciating pain for someone like me. He actually felt that I was worth such a hefty price. Only Jesus Christ could pay this debt.

What wrong did Jesus do to warrant such a horrible death? He was guilty of nothing. During the interrogation by Pilate, the chief priests and elders accused him, but Jesus did not defend Himself. “He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth, (Isaiah 53:7, NKJV).

What could I possibly offer Jesus in exchange for His life sacrifice? Absolutely nothing. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us,” (Romans 5:8, NKJV). Jesus knew that the only way of redemption for mankind was to die on the cross. But it didn’t end there.

On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead and now sits at the right hand of God. “He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay,” (Matthew 28:6 NKJV). I serve a risen savior. He is everything to me. If it wasn’t for Christ, I do not know where I would be. It is because of His tender love and mercies toward me. I owe him my life and my all. Oh, what unmerited favor has been granted to me. But not just to me, it is for anyone, who will accept His gift of love and believe in Him.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life no one can come unto God the Father except through Him (John 14:6, NKJV). He is the answer!  The Easter Holiday celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I am here today because of the ultimate sacrifice that He made, and I can stand and say that He is my living hope. And I know that I am going to Heaven. Do you have hope today?  You can, through Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Getting this hope is easy and it’s FREE. All you need to do is:

• Admit that you are a sinner and ask God to forgive you of your sins


• Acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for your sins


• Believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead and that He sits in Heaven


• Ask Jesus to become your Lord and Savior of your life

I have Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Through His grace, my sin debt was paid in full at Calvary through His precious blood. You too can experience the living hope that I have in Jesus Christ. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Accept Jesus Christ today! You will never regret it.
