Oh dearest grandchild of mine,
Why is your heart so blind;
Blind, to God's greatest love for you?

Before you were formed,
He knew you'd be born.
Having such purpose for your new life,
Knowing how much strife you would go through.

He gave you a destiny,
Far beyond your young reach;
Farther than your eyes could see.

Until one day, when you'll look up and say,
“What have You predestined for me?”
“Upon my birth, You saw me willing to work
with and through me for You, Lord.”

Oh dearest grandson of mine,
We are beginning to see,
God's destiny is now within your reach.

With your heart growing stronger, to do His will,
He's working through you,
To bring other's to Him.

God's loving care,
Has brought you through so much despair,
So that you can tell of His great love for all.

You will be able to speak through the pain,
Of knowing there's much to be gained,
By laying it all at the cross.
