“This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.

 Years of daily being in God’s word has given much victory over my feelings or emotions to dictate my life.
This is not to be defined; that one has no emotional feelings. If that were true, we’d be like the Sphinx in Egypt. Without ability to reason or feel any concern. Rather, to look always to the power of God’s presence, and authority, to lead us through any circumstance we might be concerned with.

Many years ago, when the rug was pulled out from under me, so to speak, I had three choices I could choose from. I could turn to thinking the way the world does; with anger, distrust, discontentment, fear, and hate.

My second choice was, I could turn to self, rest upon my own reasoning, allowing my feelings and emotional uncertainties, and self-pity, to decide what avenue to follow.  

My third choice was given me from a special friend and elder, at the church I was attending at that time. He led me back to the authority of God’s promises.

God’s authority and preeminence has given greater understanding more each day; “For he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”  1 John 4:4b

One’s feelings will not dictate as we lean more upon God’s promises toward the hope for things not yet seen.
Yes… greater is He that is in me!
