Slandered, impoverished, imprisoned – yet rich!
Make tithe and then close my purse
Myrrh’s sweet fragrance for the faithful’s lich
Accept God’s will when I see my hearse?
Yield to the sword after the pyre’s glitch
Ruined plans and assume I’m cursed
Resist Synagogue of Satan’s tricks to switch
Tame faith-sharing for us risk adverse
No escaping the claws coming at fever pitch
Young ones threatened and I jam in reverse
Approved to stand in the victorious crown niche
Reaching Izmir means repent til I bleed from verse
