Know how to know Jesus

Do you ever think about this and put it to question, ‘Just how do I know Jesus as He wants me to know Him?’ Coming of age we become influenced by individuals we surround, and find our time being used to increase academic achievements in pursuit of our interests or goals.
But, if I’m to become a new creature ‘in Jesus’ learning obedience to biblical instruction and discernment, the challenge before me should be wanting to understand God’s word, seeking His mandate. Doing so lends understanding of things to recognize God’s authority and Spiritual prompting. This brings heavenly values to my daily tasks.
Luke 9:23 probably has taught me more than other scripture how to know my Lord with challenge.
And he said to all, “If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
Keys words daily and follow teaches letting go ‘self,’ that I should find His preeminence in my daily living. Denying self is not defined as being without individual purpose, nor should I stop having fellowship with the human race. It does not mean that I am without mind, will, and emotion to learn.
But learning to know how to know Jesus comes easiest by seeking that personal intimate knowledge of His word. Taking up my cross daily to follow, is to not to think highly of myself, but in the power of His authority, let Him lead!
Learning to know how to know challenges you and me to become imitators of Christ. Living God’s word are footprints bridging God’s grace with others seeking to know. Teaching a world that doesn’t know, how to know Jesus!
