Prophecy

In all of the centuries of human history, here are some of the more obvious advances in knowledge in a very short period of time. 

1879 - The first light bulb. 

1885-86 - First automobile.

1879 - first stationary gasoline engine that ran for the very first time. 

1903 - the first airplane that flew.

1920 - the first radio.

1928 - the first televison signal.

1947 - first microwave oven. 

1959 - first microchip.

1961 - first spaceflight.

1969 - first human on the moon. 

1973 - first mobile phone. 

1981 - first laptop size portable computer. 

1989 - the estabishment of the Worldwide Web.

     Now in this century we have robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), microchipping, and driverless vehicles. Also a manned mission to Mars is scheduled for the 2030's, with planning well underway. Add to this all the advances in medicine, DNA testing, and the list could go on and on. I am sure I left out a host of things. 

     So, you may be thinking what is the point of this article? In all of the centuries of history, all of this and much more has happened in only the last 140 years! Think about that. This is just a little tiny 'slice' of time. And the vast majority of this advancement has been just since 1900.

     Daniel 12:4 says in the last days prior to the return of Christ that "many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase." It won't be long. Are you ready?
