Dear friend,
What if King Herod had killed Jesus Christ just after He was born as he insidiously determined to do? Matt.2:1-23. Well, Christmas would have been terminated forever! Our gift of eternal life would be a pipe dream and a mere illusion. But thank God that He keeps His covenant and promises unfailingly! That's why it's real foolishness to celebrate just the date 25th December, in some immoral and irresponsible manner instead of celebrating the eternally righteous, precious, and auspicious gift, - Jesus Christ and his birth. He's the King of kings and Lord of lords! Jesus Christ or righteousness is the reason for this auspicious season! Be very careful where and how you celebrate/hang out this season, and more importantly with who you celebrate it. Keeping company with the ungodly will definitely influence you into ungodly activities that will mar your relationship with the precious Holy Spirit.
One of the most awesome benefits and experiences you'll ever enjoy as a dedicated, committed, and faithful son/daughter of God is His promise-keeping, covenant-keeping, and infallible disposition! I'm not relating this to some off and on, irregular, and impromptu requests or visitation to God's throne whenever we're persuaded, cajoled, or motivated by some highly inspiring preaching or teaching! But a steady, totally committed, come rain or shine, in season and out of season, in trials and temptation, if I perish let me perish - type of relationship with God Almighty!
It's therefore not unlikely that this is the point where friends, family, and loved ones begin to keep you at arms length. You're launching out too deep, so the risk of keeping up with you is getting too high! Your foes too, especially the Devil and his cohorts will also notice your face, perspective, and resolve, set like a flint, determined to follow and obey the Lord unreservedly and absolutely-Isa.50:7.
At this highly exclusive juncture, God is left with no option than to make an irrevocable covenant with you! He's ultimately convinced He's your source of total supply. Without Him you can do nothing and with Him you can do all things. You're now a highly valuable resource, a heaven's VIP, with all heaven's resources at you disposal! Your name has become a household word on earth, in hell and even in heaven too!
You see, David wasn't a perfect man, but a very desperate man, one with an impregnable resolve to please God. His heart longingly sought, pursued, and finally got fastened to God's heart even while he was staggering, stumbling, and sometimes falling under the seductive, manipulative, and destructive power of sin. He was an imperfect man like you and I, but distinguished by his gluttonous crave and insatiable thirst after God's own heart, pressing for perfection! Ps.42:1-11. Think about this very seriously because this is where God wants us to be.
Welcome to the spot where God's unbreakable covenant to bless, protect, heal, and preserve you at all cost, commences. This is a different, superior place! Ps.89:19-37; Acts 13:22. This is the principle, the extent to which you commit your life and resources to God, he commits His to you. James 4:5-10. Based on this premise, God, your Father is looking forward to enjoying a solid, balanced, and dependable relationship with you. Not the shaky type where we're in sexual immorality, lust, and lying today, then come repenting tomorrow; or we rave and rant in anger, get neck deep in bitterness, unforgiveness, and jealousy; totally disobedient or piously arrogant today, then rush into His presence tomorrow with one or more flimsy but tear stained excuses!
If we continue this way, we're compelling God to treat his devotion to us with the same lethargic levity! God forbid though. But when God's covenant and commitment to us is solidly established and the time for its consummation is right, and we respond in faith to act as led by the Holy Spirit, God will move heaven, hell, and earth to see that His Word comes to pass in our lives and to our descendants.
On the third day, the great stone, death, decay, or the Devil couldn't stop the resurrection of Jesus Christ because God is a covenant-keeping and promise-keeping God, - every time! Merry Christmas.
2Chro.23:1-21; Matt.28:1-10; Philippians 2:1-10.
This is highly lethal to the Devil; could you be bold and generous enough to forward this to friends for Christmas?
Have a powerful Christmas Celebration and a glorious New year in God's awesome presence.
