Encouragement
Job 39:13-18.
“The ostrich flaps her wings grandly,
but they are no match for the feathers of the stork.
She lays her eggs on top of the earth,
letting them be warmed in the dust.
She doesn’t worry that a foot might crush them
or a wild animal might destroy them.
She is harsh toward her young,
as if they were not her own.
She doesn’t care if they die.
For God has deprived her of wisdom.
He has given her no understanding.
But whenever she jumps up to run,
she passes the swiftest horse with its rider.
Dear friend,
Do you some times feel that life and nature have disqualified you, depriving you of the pride, honor and other benefits attached to natural talents, gifts and other endowments?
You might not qualify as a beauty queen or a handsome prince. And perhaps you're not endowed with an organized, impeccable, and orderly disposition like the Ostrich. You might even have noted with great regret that you're deficient of a compassionate, sympathetic, and tenderhearted nature.
Worse still, you might have observed too, to your horror and utter dismay that you don't fit into the class of the wise, learned, and aristocratic, as much as you so desire to. Seems as though you're deprived of every known good gift, and are now feeling rejected and abandoned, just like the Ostrich! Hold it right there and brace up, there's still some area you're specially gifted and talented, designed by God to bring you to stardom, glory, and fame, like the exclusive athletic prowess of the Ostrich! - "But whenever she (the Ostrich) jumps up to run, she passes the swiftest horse and its rider!"
Your gift makes room, opens great doors, and creates new glorious paths to success and greatness. Prov.18:16KJV. Your gift is your advantage, stronghold and citadel. It's also your uniqueness, peculiarity, and trademark. Your gift makes you an expert and a specialist in a class of your own! It makes you a winner always!
Next in value to the precious gift of salvation and righteousness Jesus Christ bestowed on us through His death and resurrection, is our distinct and unique gift. Your gift is your ticket and guarantee to success in this life. It's your trade secret. Do everything to protect, propagate, and project these gifts with absolute focus. I assure you that the outcome will amaze you in no distant time!
God's will and design is for everyone to succeed - through their peculiar gifts! Serving humanity through your gift is the surest, shortest, and safest route to accomplishment, success, and satisfaction. Your gift is your advantage, take advantage of it.
HOW TO IDENTIFY YOUR GIFT(S).
The easiest and most accurate way to identify your gift(s) is to define what you love doing most. Our gifts are those honest, legitimate things we do well. It's therefore quite natural that we enjoy doing them because it's unlikely to do what we dislike well. Other criteria are thus -
a) The problem that infuriates you most is the need God has gifted you with unique and special ability to meet and overcome.
b) What arouses your dissatisfaction with life most, is a clear indication and pointer to the gift you contain to proffer the required solution.
c) What honest and legitimate things you love are clear revelations of your gift(s) in life. That legitimate thing you appreciate, that excites and energizes you is a road map to your gift and talent.
d) Those who arouse your compassion are those God has endowed you with special ability to help and motivate.
e) Those you feel attracted to and seek to assist are those you have been mandated to give relief, encouragement and success in life. - find your place.
Your gift, a precious and very costly deposit from God, reveals your purpose in life. It is far more relevant, vital, and resourceful than your training. Needless to say, advancement, growth, and solid establishment are accomplished by building on your gifts, talents, and strengths and not merely solving problems. The greater the interest, attention, and focus we bestow on our gifts, the greater their value will increase. 2Tim.1:6.
Absolute focus is very vital to maximizing the value, quality, and productivity of your gifts. Lack of it results in average and mediocrity. The clearer your option, the sharper your focus, and the stronger your faith to accomplish great and amazing results. Gal2:7-9; Matt.6:22. You're unique. Don't be a copy. Be an original. Imitation is limitation. Your gift is your treasure house, discover it and discover great wealth! Isa.45:1-3.
GIVING YOUR GIFT ECONOMIC VALUE.
In ministry, spiritual gifts are given to be given or ministered freely, but God commands that His ministers be supported financially and otherwise. Matt.10:8-10; Gal.6:6; 1Tim.5:17, 18. And outside ministry, God still expects you to profit and be blessed financially, materially as well as spiritually through your gifts when diligently applied. Prov.12:11; Prov.13:4, 11.
To make your gift generate high economic returns, get specialized education and/or mentorship on your gifts or talents. Devote all your energies, wisdom, and skill in developing this burning passion in your heart with absolute focus. Now search out and identify the need your gift or talent could satisfy as a product or service. The more excellence, class, and quality you incorporate into your gift, the higher it's value and demand will be.
Furthermore, test this gift, idea, product, or service if it will pass the success test, with these questions -
a) Is this idea or gift practical enough to fill and satisfy vital human needs?
b) Can it be consummated creatively, beautifully, with style, color, honor, righteousness and excellence?
c) Can it be executed uniquely and differently enough to stand out from the all others, making it highly competitive, productive, and profitable?
d) Can it excel in value, quality, and style compared to current options, to generate adequate profit? Could it make a profitable venture?
To increase the value and profitability of your gift, talent, service or product without limits, employ the services of people whose ability, gifts or talents in specialized areas, are greater and better than yours, without feeling personally threatened by their presence, creativity, or accomplishment. Quality attracts great and profitable quantity. Even if you have to start small, start well! Job 8:7.
Have a marvelous day in God's awesome presence.
