Be Encouraged Today. Your help is in the Lord
Today is a great day to look at how special you are to God. Today, let's thank God for all of His blessings. Today, let's appreciate Him and His love. Today, let contentment be your goal.

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 1 Timothy 6:6-10

Most of us are not satisfied with what we have. There are always new gadgets, new fashions and new cars flashed in front of us. Often I hear people say, I just have to get one of these or I need to try this, it looks so good. Things sometimes look greener on the other side and instead of looking at what we already have we run toward greener pastures. We want bigger and better. We want more and more. With all that's going on around us, it's hard to stop and enjoy what we already have. It sound like such a simple thing to do, but unfortunately it is not so. Let me ask you this question. When you see a half of glass of water, do you see it as half full of half empty? How we look at things often makes a difference in how we react and how we respond to God and others. Instead of complaining how tired we are, why not thank God that we were able to get out of bed. Instead of kicking your car when it doesn't start, thank God you have the funds and a mechanic who can fix it. Tonight when you go home, don't complain about how messy your house is or how rowdy the kids are. Instead thank God you have a house to go home to and that there are people around you who love and need you. Then thank God, He has given you others to love. We tend to complain way too much. Today is a good time to appreciate all the blessings that God has given you. It's time to become content with what you already have. How do you expect God to bless you with more, if you don't appreciate what you already have been blessed with? You know the old saying, "You don't know what you have until it's gone." I don't know about you but I don't want to have things or people taken away from me in order for me to appreciate them. I want to love and appreciate them right now. So, toady start a new habit of thanking God more than complaining to Him. Appreciate every moment you have breath in you. Appreciate each moment with those you love. Appreciate all God has blessed you with. Today, let the ones you love, know just how much you love them. Let them know how much you appreciate them. No regrets will ever be found if you do this.
