You And I Can Move Mountains Together

Teamwork has always been productive and fruitful. Not only because many hands make light work but also because the talents of each and every one in the team can be both wonderfully expressed and put to use to form a complete success. The whole team gets together, encouraging one another, lifting their spirits to give their very best. A victory is equally celebrated by all the members in the team where credit goes to the entire team and not just one individual.

We all know that United we stand, Divided we fall.
However, teamwork should also be for a positive benefit and not a negative one. We see how in the Tower of Babel, the people got together to build a tower that would reach upto heaven. They wanted to show their might and power. But God confused their languages and their attempts turned into a complete failure.
We also see in the Old Testament how the brothers of Joseph got together and sold him into slavery but God turned the tables on them by raising Joseph to be the most influential man in Egypt after the King and one fine day his brothers turn up in front of his eyes and have to depend upon him to buy grains in the time of famine.

When a team gets together for a right and diligent work, God blesses their efforts and even works behind the scenes to ensure that the team is never disappointed but always rewarded.
A beautiful quote comes to mind; "Alone I can 'Say' but together we can 'Talk'. Alone I can 'Enjoy' but together we can 'Celebrate'. Alone I can 'Smile' but together we can 'Laugh'. That's the beauty of human relations. We are nothing without each other but together we are everything.

Jesus himself said to his disciples in Matthew 18:19; "If two of you on earth agree to ask anything at all, it will be granted to you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three meet in my name, I am there among them."
We see how on Pentecost Sunday, the Jews had gathered from all around the world in Jerusalem. When the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles, these men heard them speaking about the great things that God had done in their own native language whether there were from Parthia, Media and Elam, from Mesopotamia, Judaea and Cappadocia; from Pontus and Asia, from Phrygia and Pamphylia, from Eygpt and the regions of Libya near Cyrene, from Rome, Crete and Arabia.
This gathering was a positive and landmark gathering where many turned believers and followed Jesus. It also opened the doors to the access of the Holy Spirit through Baptism of Fire for years yet to come down the line.

When people are united and strong in their faith, together they can move mountains. This is a symbolic meaning that we can overcome any hurdles in life if we are strongly planted in Christ. It is also exactly what the Lord meant when he said that if our faith was small enough as a mustard seed, we could command the mountain or trials in life to be moved and thrown into the sea.

Just as a Collage can be made by mixing different colours each beautiful in its own right, similarly when the children of God get together and build up His kingdom on earth, over throwing any obstacles that come their way then the final victory of eternal life will be shared by all where everyone will be saved.
Also one person is enough to initiate and form a group or association to work for the Lord by sowing the seeds for the harvest of His kingdom.
As it is said;"It's not the presence of someone that brings meaning to life but the way someone touches your heart that gives life a beautiful meaning."

We should also bear in mind that at the end of our journey, we have to stand alone in front of Christ. At that time, there will be no members of our team to boost, cheer or defend us. We have to answer for our own selves based on our performances on earth.
Hence it is necessary now to live a life pleasing to God, in watchful prayer and utilise the time at hand to merit the salvation God won for us through His Only Begotten Son.
There is plenty of time to sleep in the after life where as sleeping souls the angels will stand guard over us. Now is the time for living our Christian life to the fullest.
