Jesus please do not cry
I know the world has turned its back
Forgotten how you gave up your life
Once on Calvary on a wooden Cross.

Jesus please do not cry
You shed every drop of Blood for us
People cannot seem to remember
That agonizing day in your life.

Jesus please do not cry
You set the world in its place
Mankind is however intent on destroying
That which you created in Wisdom.

Jesus please do not cry
The weight of the sins of your chosen ones
Still continue to burden you in Heaven
Your shoulders are heavy even to this day.

Jesus please do not cry
The ones you called to be your own
Have gone astray in many ways
How you long they would return back to you.

Jesus please do not cry
The world is bent on its own pleasures
Spirituality is kept at a distance
If only they would realise that time is short.

Jesus please do not cry
You want to save each and every one
The sheep in your fold and the ones missing
If only they would come back to the heavenly flock.

Jesus please do not cry
For it hurts us as well.
There are still so many who love you
Who long to wipe your precious tears
And see only your joy and smiles.

Jesus please do not cry
We recognise you in our brethren on earth
We await to be one day with you in Eternity
We will never move away from your love
We are ever thankful to you for giving us Life.
