Christians and churches, especially those in America, need a a reality check. While they go about their daily business as usual...

The LGBT has said they will not bother Christians as long as we do what they say. 

Twitter is calling marriage between 1 man and 1 woman hate speech. 

Satan clubs are meeting in some of our nation's public schools. 

A new survey found that evangelical support for gay marriage has more than doubled, but 59% still oppose it. 

Islam is on track to overtake Christianity as the world's number one religion. 

For the first time in history America is on the list of nations that persecutes Christians. 

There is a dramatic rise in Satan worship.

Microchips are being implanted in the right hand, with some believing that this is leading up to the mark of the beast spoken of in Revelation. 

There is a fight over the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. 
 
Preparations are falling into place for the construction of the third Jewish temple. 

The 2030 Agenda is well underway. (If you do not know what this is, I strongly suggest you do some homework.)

A statue of the Old Testament pagan god of Baal is on display in New York City. 

A Canadian Christian was given a 12,000 dollar fine for not removing his shoes when entering the apartment of an Islamic. 

A pastor in Cuba was recently sentenced to one year of hard labor for homeschooling his children in the evangelical faith. 

Jesus Christ is a symbol of hate to the radical left. 

Planned Parenthood recently has begun telling young children that their sex organs do not determine their gender. 

The Rainbow Day Camp in the San Francisco area is allowing children to sign in with whatever gender they desire. 

Disney is now promoting the gay agenda in some of its programming geared to young children. 

Apostasy is running rampant.

Baby Charlie Gard died a victim of a state-controlled health care system with the parents having no say whatsoever as to the fate of their son. 

Nancy Pelosi recently stated that the Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood dishonor God. 

Mark Zukerberg said that facebook can play a role that church and little league once filled. 

We now live in an anti-Christian culture of what some have labeled as "post-truth."

End times prophecies are being fulfilled right and left, and are all converging. 

The one world government is forming at a very rapid pace. 

The Ten Commandments are being torn down while at the same time Satanic monuments are going up. 

Salvation by grace alone is being minimized. 

These are just a few examples out of a much broader picture of what is really happening in our culture. These are all from articles I have read. Some are actual headlines. You will not hear about these things in the major media. While it is absolutely essential that Christians and churches remain solidly faithful to the gospel mesage and make that the number one priority, it does not mean that we should not address these issues! Many Christians and churches are so afraid of getting political that they remain totally silent. How many know even half of the things I have listed? Were you shocked at what you read? If so, they have been going on for a long time, and are getting worse. Wake up!

Much of what is happening is fulfilled prophecy at the end of the Age of Grace (If you know what that is?). Even if one does not believe or recognize that, no one would dispute that we are living in very difficult times, just as the Bible predicted in II Timoth 3:1. With this is mind Christians need to be "alert...ready...and faithful" as taught in Matthew 24:42-45. This is more strongly emphasized in Luke 21:34-36.

"Be on guard, that your hearts may not be weighted down with...the worries of life, and that day come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of the earth. But keep on the alert at all times, praying in order that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man."
 
In light of all that is going on and in keeping with what these above verses teach, should not all Chriistians and churches be doing three things?

1. Keeping themselves well informed. 
2. Engaging the culture, and teaching one another how to do this effectively.
3. Encouraging one another to continue strong in the faith, especially in the face of persecution. 

It is no longer business as usual, folks, for Christians. It is no longer easy to be a Christian even in Western nations. That is the reality of it. It is high time for churches and pastors to preach from the pulpit how to stay strong in the faith and engage the culture with the gospel message of hope, healing, and salvation by grace. The time is rapidly approaching when all Christians are going to need it.
