Let’s Glorify Him and He will glorify us.

The main purpose of man is to glorify God. Jesus set a perfect example for us by glorying ‘the Father’ through His life.

“So, when he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him. If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and glorify Him immediately.”

John 13:31-32 NKJV

God is never a debtor to anyone and thus when we endeavor and accomplish the purpose of God in our life, God will fulfill His promises in our life. If we chose to glorify God, God will glorify us, thus in other words, our attempt to glorify God is actually our own glorification (however our only purpose should always be to glorify God through all we do and thus we should not do things for God with a mean and selfish heart).

God has bestowed His blessedness upon us not just by mere words, but rather through the example of the Lord Jesus Christ, He has set before us a perfect example to live and follow through which we may achieve the very purpose of our life and that is to glorify God in everything we do.

Jesus in perfect obedience to the Father always fulfilled the Father’s will and desire and thus we too are expected to do so.

Our own self often deceives us and leads us into ignoble paths, thus how can we ensure that we will always do that which the Lord desires?

As Paul prayed this…

“O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?”

Romans 7:24 NKJV

He found the answer in this…

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Galatians 2:20 NKJV

Yes! Let’s invite the Lord to live in us and through us and then we shall never do anything contrary to His perfect will.

This is what Prophet Samuel commanded Saul when He was chosen by God to lead His people…

“Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man. And let it be, when these signs come to you, that you do as the occasion demands; for God is with you.”

1 Samuel 10:6-7 NKJV

Yes! When the Holy Spirit is in us, we will be a different person and then when we are led by Him, whatever we will do it will be for the glory of His blessed name.

Let’s choose to glorify God in everything as was our blessed Lord Jesus Christ.
