                             Love Divine, Love Excelling
                              by Robert Schaetzle

                           Love through God, so divine and true
                           Ruth was trusting in Naomi’s Lord

                           Without concern for herself, left her land
                           Purposed Faith through trusting hand

                           Naomi’s care, she would not leave
                           Concern of heart, obedience in need

                           Faith beginning, entered her trembling heart
                           Glory in God’s prophetic purpose from start

                          Praise to Jehovah-Jireh, He would provide
                          All care and rest came to her side

                          Ruth gave birth hope, for promise to come
                          Generations later, God brought forth His Son

                         Love so divine, God’s love Excelling
                         Ruth’s story of love, faith so compelling   AMEN
