Pay close attention anytime the Lord puts something on your heart to say.
Make haste let nothing stand in your way, for you may not have another chance or day.

People sometimes leave, or are taken away from us quickly, with little time to react.
If you let this moment slip away from you, you may never be able to get it back.

I exhort you to seize opportunity if the Lord puts someone or something on your heart.
To move very quickly and stop at nothing until you have fulfilled your part.

Oh how I need to gain a victory in this area, when someone dear to me leaves either by way of death or by sin.
Then I won’t have to be overcome with regret by not speaking a word, fitly spoken to them.

Life is so full of uncertainty, and I never know when I might have seen someone for my last time.
So when my Heavenly Father puts something to say on my heart I need to follow through until I’ve spoken every line.

It has to be my depraved nature that would cause me to withhold words of encouragement and praise.
And the only way I can get a victory in this area, is by living in subjection to the God of all Grace.

I know myself and many times circumstances have dictated to me and caused me to withhold a kind word.
But I’m not supposed to be my own man. He liberated me years ago when his wonderful plan of salvation I heard.

So why would I choose to let the beggarly elements of this life rob me, and others of kind words the Lord would have me to say?
This proves to me the battle is still raging, and if I don’t remember this then I’m going to lose day after precious day.

Knowing that in me dwells this great conflict will help me to be on guard the next time the Lord puts someone on my mind.
And I must follow through quickly, letting no obstacle hinder me until I’ve followed through completely in God’s time.

Sometimes we desire to do something big for people, but the Lord knows best, and many times all that is needed is for them to hear something kind.
And that one encouragement spoken by you will help keep them in the race, and your reward will never be taken away throughout all time.
We all need help here, let’s ask the Lord to deliver.
For a word fitly spoken is like apples of Gold in pictures of silver.
