The Bible tells us to be still, and know that I am God.
He controls our destiny, down to the very path that we now trod.
It may be a path that with God’s word clearly does not agree.
If you are one of his children, through providence he will make you see.
That as for God, his way is perfect, and with his word in this life we must be shod.
His way is full of light, so we must be still, and know that he is God.
Your way could be very hard, grinding daily under a cruel master, with an unforgiving rod.
If so, Jesus says that we should take his yoke upon us, and learn of him, and be still and know that he is God.
I placed myself under this same master for many years, within me I found no power to abscond.
Then Jesus came to me in power, and invited me to reason with him, and be still and know that he is God.
The saints in the bible that appear full of faith were ordinary people much like me, and others that this path has trod.
They simply believed that the Lord loved them, and he was their refuge, they also had to be still and know that he is God.
Look at Abraham, Moses, Joshua, David, Peter, James, and John, the apostle Paul, all these used mightily by God.
But the Lord loves me just as much as any one of these for we are all required by him to be still and know that he is God.
These thoughts should encourage us greatly, God’s amazing love, given freely to the vilest of men that have walked on this sod.
The requirements are the same for all of us, humble ourselves, pray, seek Gods face, and be still and know that he is God.
If you will be still, and know that he is God, it will make you tender and full of compassion to your fellow man.
And you will live your life seeking to be a blessing to your fellow man, as the Lord upholds you in his strong hand.
This is the key to happiness the very thing that everyone wants, found by being still, knowing he is God, our King.
He is the substance of many sermons, poetry, and many, many wonderful songs that bless our hearts to sing.
Be still, and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
I was one of those heathen the he was exalted among, and now I want to spend my life exalting him, the one I serve.
