READ FOR YOURSELF: Revelation 15-18

TODAY’S KEY VERSE…Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! Who shall fear You, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You. For your judgments have been manifested. REVELATION 15:3-4 (NKJV) 

--JUST AND TRUE-- 

Justice is a result of truth. God is real, so is His standard for living. This standard of holiness is the measuring rod for all of life to be measured. Because God is truth and uses the same universal scale, His judgments are fair. No one gets special treatment from God; it is strictly based on how we live.

Fairness is a big topic of discussion in today’s society. We want gays and straights, men and women, Christians and Muslims...name a group, and we want them all to have the same rights and equal opportunities. The problem is the world denies God, which rejects truth and refuses to live by His standards. Society chooses to use it’s own standard, based on individual and cultural beliefs. This does not work because the truth is what makes social justice possible. Since the truth is not in their hearts this level of fairness cannot be achieved. But what is impossible with man is possible for God.

Prayer: Dear God, help me to understand the key to loving my neighbor is loving you. Give me your Spirit to be able to live in unity with my brothers and sisters, treating them with equal fairness. Amen.
