John 1:1 ~ “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Often times I find myself bewildered by people who either question the validity of Jesus Christ or merely choose not to believe in Him at all. However, I am just as mystified by the millions who choose to worship false gods. As far as atheism is concerned, I simply feel sorry for such individuals as a whole. I could never begin to imagine living in this huge expanse of a universe based on the idea that something evolved from nothing (the Big Bang Theory).
I hold out a little more hope concerning agnosticism; which defines a group of people with the faulty belief that there isn’t enough scientific evidence to prove or disprove the existence of God. Just imagine witnessing a blank canvas, which magically appears with creative images transformed into a beautiful portrait minus the painter.
In order for a blank canvas to have life covered with vivid images, a creator (painter) would need to breathe imagination to it through meticulous strokes of a paint brush. So, the question remains, if the unique artwork of mere man could easily be comprehended; why is it so difficult for these groups of individuals to grasp the miraculous and extraordinary artistry of a superior deity?
Regardless of whatever direction one turns, there is an abundance of unrefuted evidence beautifully captured across every corner of this globe by the very fingerprints God; extending from below the depths of sea level to stretching across the expanse of an exquisitely crafted sky. Understanding this entire concept is not as difficult as some make it out to be because our glorious Creator methodically pinned everything we need to know in the greatest book of all time ever written or read—the Holy Bible. The only standard required is having the faith of a mustard seed when studying every life-breathing word.
“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” (Colossians 1:15)
Hebrews 11:3 ~ “By faith, we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”
Historically, there have been countless world religions prone to worshipping false idols, which still hold true to date. We also live in an age flooded by various religious cultures; ranging from Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Heathenism, Mormonism, Catholicism, and everything in between. However, contrary to popular opinion, there is only One True God and His name is Jesus Christ, the only name prophesied over and over again hundreds of years before His spiritual transference to earth in human form.
There is no record of any other biblical faith based book, which details the supreme life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, other than the Holy Bible. The incarnation sets Christianity apart from all other religious cultures. The unequivocal fact that God transfigured to man is without parallel to the vast array of other religious faiths. Christianity is the only faith which embodies the actual name of our precious Lord and Savior, “Christ,” the primary focus which means follower of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
The Old Testament is filled with hundreds of historical Messianic prophecies of that time. The prophet, Isaiah prophesied the birth as well as the unspeakable thrashing which, Jesus Christ suffered death on the Cross, seven hundred years prior to its occurrence. The following scriptures are two primary examples supporting this fact:
Isaiah 9:6~ "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 50:6~ “I offered my back to those who attacked my jaws to those who tore out my beard; I did not hide my face from insults and spitting.”
The next few verses are derived from the Books of Micah and Psalms, prophecies which underscore the birth and death of Jesus Christ numerous centuries beforehand:
Micah 5:2 ~ “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”
Psalm 22:16-18 ~ “Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet. All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.”
Although the above verses clearly exemplify biblical foresight; the best way to acquire a full comprehension of Isaiah’s prophetic message is to sit in a place of quietude and thoroughly read the entire Chapter of Isaiah 53. This, along with various other scriptures, is an excellent point of reference for those skeptics so eagerly awaiting the chance to provoke religious debates.
A great opportunity to stand strong in one’s faith is based on evidence that cannot intellectually or morally be disputed. I also recommend reading through the Book of Daniel, another great resource of divine prophecy.
Just remember to follow the One True God, the Almighty Father of Jesus Christ by believing the Word of God and to never add or take away from it. Christ left His Holy Spirit after His ascension to Heaven, and it is through the Holy Spirit that we must seek guidance, and discernment to pursue a greater awareness of our earthly purpose.
Salvation is God's gift to us and our faith is our gift to Him so we owe it to believe in God, the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; otherwise coined by man as the “Trinity.” Three converging spiritual entities meaning the Godhead, which is evidenced in the following scripture, as God speaks in the plural tense of the pronoun “I:”
Genesis 1:26 ~ Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
We are commanded to love our Heavenly Father with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love one another the same as we love ourselves. We must stay focused on God's Eternal Word and try to pattern our lives after His teachings and encourage others to do the same. Religious rituals will not save us; good deeds will not save us, but our Christian faith in the living Son of God and acceptance of Him is what will lead us to the free gift of salvation and ultimately eternal life.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies. (John 11:25).
One of the most compelling prophecies in the New Testament was spoken by Jesus Christ to His disciples, as shown in the following scriptures:
John 2:19-22 ~Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” They replied, ‘It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?’ But the temple he had spoken of was his body. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.’”
My past experiences have proven that messianic prophecy is the idyllic key that unlocks the chambers to the coldest heart of hearts; people need to see proof. Go in peace, examine Scripture daily and remember to share the Gospel to those willing to listen; especially unbelievers. This will inevitably produce hope and glorify our Heavenly Father in addition to assisting Him with saving lost souls.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:19-20)
I pray for God to pour His blessings over all those who seek His divine love, mercy, and everlasting discerning Spirit. I also pray for those who are unashamed to demonstrate steadfast faith through their daily actions in the hope of dispelling all forms of false doctrines and demons.
1 Timothy 4:1 ~ "But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons."
The only proof we need to encourage and edify others falls within the divine pages where Scripture clearly expresses Christ as our eternal Creator who wondrously spoke inexistent galaxies into perfect existence. The Book of John Chapter One describes Jesus as “God,” while the Book of Hebrews Chapter One refers to Christ as the One who laid the foundations of the earth. In the Book of Revelation Chapter 22, Christ actually calls Himself, “the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. All of these prophetic verses correlate perfectly to the following Old Testament verses:
Isaiah 44:6 ~ “This is what the Lord says—Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: ‘I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.”’
Isaiah 48:12 ~ “Listen to me, Jacob, Israel, whom I have called: I am He; I am the first and I am the last.”
Blessings, Peace and Love in Christ Jesus!
