He needed to go through Samaria

He left Judea and departed again to Galilee. But He needed to go through Samaria.

John 4:3-4 NKJV

I was really blessed when I read the book ‘What’s so amazing about Grace-by Philip Yancey’, it truly answered many of the questions I had and made clear for me the way in which God acts and reacts with people (I recommend everyone to read this blessed book.)

While most of us desire to be found in the company of the successful and the elite class, which of course are the limited minority comprising of the best, who really does care for the left outs who form the majority? Does anyone need them? Does anyone care for them? Are they of any worth until their status change to ‘successful’? Does anyone care about their heartbreaks and the pain they endure while being rejected and left out?

And the answer is ‘Yes’, GOD CARES FOR THEM. HE LOVES THEM.

When we try to understand the love of God and through experiences try to feel it too, we will never stop admiring Him and desiring Him more every day.

In the above listed passage, Jesus (who was a Jew) had the need to go from Judea to Galilee, He did not like all other Jews take a route avoiding Samaria (for normally Jews did not associate with Samaritans), rather breaking the trend He went through Samaria.

Why did he do so? For the sake of one soul(the Samaritan woman), whom He transformed from a sinful woman living in shame to a jubilant witness who became a channel for God’s love and goodness to be expressed to many in Samaria. (read the passage John 4:1-42).

Are you left out and rejected in life? Do you struggle where you are? Just remember, the best in the world (God Himself) LOVES YOU, CARES FOR YOU AND WILL BRING YOU OUT WITH HIS STONG AND MIGHTY HAND OF DELIVERANCE.

Let not our heart die out of hope, but let’s earnestly look unto God, for by the nature of Who He is, He will surely visit our Samaria and change us from who we are to be a jubilant witness to bless many others.

May this be true for all of us as we earnestly wait for the Lord God to bless us :

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,
