Bore witness of Him

John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’”

John 1:15 NKJV

John the Baptist came to bear witness about the Lord God and spoke it boldly. With a loud and clear call he witnessed about the Lord.

Jesus also acknowledged the work of John the Baptist through His baptism.

John came with a purpose and accomplished it. Similarly our Lord too accomplished what He came for. Paul also testified about finishing the race, what about us?

I know that we may try to justify saying that our end is yet come, however in our daily walk in this mortal world, are we heading towards a blessed eternity, are we daily walking in God’s will, are we boldly proclaiming His blessed Kingdom? Are we preaching life, light and hope to the dead in spirit, those in the darkness of sin and to them who are broken hearted?

Someone said, “Preach the Gospel, use words if necessary.” which means ‘our life should proclaim the Lord’s blessedness’

We too are in this world to testify about our God and His blessedness.

Let it be said about us, “He/She did what He/She came for, accomplished the Lord’s purpose, walked in His will and moreover glorified God with our life.”
