Abiding by the law through His Holy Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.  For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,  that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Romans 8:2-4 NKJV

The Lord has always desired and made things easy for us, and by blessing us with His Holy Spirit the Lord has transformed us into His own likeness through Jesus Christ His Son.

The requirements of the law can now be satisfied, for with the Holy Spirit within us we are a different person and are as Paul boldly mentions, “It’s no longer I that liveth but Christ that liveth in me.”(Galatians 2:20)

The presence and the infilling of the Holy Spirit in us brings about the blessed change that the Lord had always desired and which will make us victorious in everything we do.

Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man. And let it be, when these signs come to you, that you do as the occasion demands; for God is with you.

 1 Samuel 10:6-7 NKJV

Often we are afraid to take initiatives in our life, will I be right or wrong? Will I do good? Will I end up in a mess? and so many similar questions boggle our mind and trouble us.

Yet the Word says that the Holy Spirit will guide us and when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we are to just do as the occasion demands, and we will never be wrong, for God is with us.

Let’s always thank the Lord for the Holy Spirit and yearn all the more to be ever filled with it for God’s glory.
