New York City Now Has An Arch of the god Baal

In the Bible the pagan god, Baal, is mentioned 100 times, the worship of whom God detested. Baal worship was associated with bisexual orgies, infants burned alive, and the termination of unwanted children. An arch was at the entrance of the Temple of Baal, in Syria, until it was recently destroyed by ISIS. A replica of the arch has been reconstructed and put on public display in London and New York City. It went up on September 19, 2016, in New York City Hall Park. Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, author of The Harbinger, said that the 50-foot arch is one more indication of how far America has fallen. 

     Indeed, America is replacing God with more and more idols. How much longer will America survive? God is no longer being given his rightful place in our nation and our culture. In fact, a large segment of the population is living like there is no God at all, with no accountability to a Creator or Supreme Being. Human nature is running wild and debased, with no conscience. It was pointed out by one writer that America is running down the same path that was associated with the worship of Baal, and that led to the demise of Israel. We have the killing of unborn infants and sexual orgies running rampant. 

     This arch of Baal is only one of many things that is trying the patience of God. Many people believe that judgment has already begun. America is not turning from its ways. What does the Bible say about the worship of Baal and the consequences? Here are just three, out of dozens of passages. 

     Numbers 25:1-3, "...Israel..began to play the harlot with the daughters of Moab. For they invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods. So Israel joined themselves to Baal of Peor, and the Lord was angry against Israel."

     Deuteronomy 4:3, "Your eyes have seen what the Lord has done in the case of Baal-Peor, for all the men who followed Baal-Peor, the Lord your God has destroyed them from among you."

     Jeremiah 23:13, "Moreover, among the prophets of Samaria I saw an offensive thing; They prophesied by Baal and led my people Israel astray."

     America is being led astray further and further from the truth of God's word. The arch in New York City is another sign of this. How about you, personally? Are you going to allow yourself to be led astray or hold fast to the teachings of the inspired Word of God?
