Dealing With Slander And Tests Of Faith
Many of God's Biblical servants have been plauged with slander. Our modern world is greatly changing its views toward God's earthly servants. This article will Biblically explain God's view toward His slandered servants.
When Jesus Chist identified Himself with the "Son of Man" He was immediately buffeted (attacked) by the High Priest's council (Matthew 26:63-68).
When God took the Apostle Paul into "Paradise" Paul began being buffeted by a "Messenger of Satan" (2 Corinthians 12:1-9).
King David was in the "Deep" as he begged God to deliver him. Many found amusement in David's anxiety. Some questioned his sanity (Psalm 69:1-36).
Potiphar's wife accused Joseph of attempted rape. Despite his innocence, Joseph was sent to prison (Genesis 39).
God invited Satan to test Job. Job lost everything and was struck with sickness during the test period (Job Chapters 1 and 2).
Directly after His baptism the Holy Spirit took Jesus to be "tempted of the Devil" (Matthew 3:15-17; Matthew 4:1-11).
Jesus rebuked Peter for wanting persecution to "be far (away)" (Matthew 16:11-28).
God told Paul to not focus on the buffeting but on God's Daily Grace (2 Corinthians 12:1-11; Matthew 6:25-34; Philippians 4:6-8).
Joseph experienced various trials until God exalted him to a Commanding position over planet Earth (James 1:2; Genesis 41:37-43, 56-57; Genesis 42:6; James 4:6-10).
David's experience made the King fearless trusting solely in God's Goodness and God's Promises (Psalm 23:1-6).
Job's experience humbled him and helped Job realize that he had not strove to "Know The Lord". As Job humbled himself God restored Job's life (Job 42:1-17; Matthew 7:13-29).
What Can Sufferers Of Injustices Learn From These Bible Accounts?
It is God who oversees all activities in His Creation (John 4:24; Matthew 4:1-11; Isaiah 45:6-7; Job 1:1-12; Job 2:1-11).
God's servants may suffer injustices and persecutions during their life time (James 1:2; Matthew 16:11-28).
God's servants should not focus on the physical trials but should focus on God's Grace (God Is Spirit) (2 Corinthians 12:1-11; John 4:24).
At some life point God will exalt His obedient servants (John 15:10-15; Exodus 20:21; James 4:3-10; Job 42:1-6).
