Matthew: 6:8 –“for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.”
With so much excitement in us, we went about to book our tickets for our honeymoon. In that excitement I forgot to pay attention to the details to be mentioned in the reservation site. The tickets were booked and 2 days later I notice that my last name was not mentioned on the itinerary. For a moment I felt like everything just crashed, our honeymoon plans. I had only tears flooding my face and as a baby would cry to his or her parent, I was crying to my Heavenly Father to help me.
We can’t afford to get another ticket in that price and we were trying our best to do the needed. When I was on the call with the agent I almost cried to him to help us and he agreed to look into this and try his best. We sent the needed information and were waiting for them to get back. All I could do is ask God to help us. We both have gone through a lot for our marriage to happen, many hardships and tearful nights but above all with God’s grace and favour we passed through many hardships. Most of all, we want to thank the Lord Jesus for sustaining us throughout our difficult times.
Yet again, God proved He’s sovereign in our lives. God gave us favour in the eyes of the airline staff and they helped us with the name change. All Glory to the Abba Father in heaven for hearing His daughter’s plea when we really didn’t know what to do and couldn’t find a way.
Friend, many times in life we are all in a hurry to work out things ourselves and we fail to pay attention to what the scriptures say about trusting in the Lord to work out our things. We are so used to solving our own problems and try to use this source and that source but we just don’t look up to the Father who knows our needs even before we can ask of Him. And at the end when we run out of solutions we run to Him for “last minute hope” and even at that time, He’s faithful to answer our prayers. He turns an impossible request to a possible miracle in our lives. He’s a God “Who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters (Psalm: 114:8). He will turn your mourning into joy. Trust Jesus.
Dear Abba Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name. Thy Kingdom done and they will be done in our lives. Lord, we ask for forgiveness for not looking up to You for help. Lord, as Your word says in Psalm: 121:1&2 – “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth”, Lord we lift our eyes to You to help us in our difficult times. Thank You for answering our prayers. In Jesus Christ name. Amen.
God bless you.
