Everyday when I awake,
This Psalm comes into mind,
One eighteen, verse twenty-four,
It helps me rise and shine.
Then right before I brush my teeth
And all that other stuff.
I bury self, so Christ can live,
It’s always just enough.
Then with a heart of thankfulness,
I go about my day.
Knowing everywhere I go,
My Lord is on display.
For this is the day that He has made,
The scripture says it’s so,
So I’ll rejoice and be glad in it,
Everywhere I go.
Psalm 118:24
This [is] the day [which] the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

William, this is sweet, sweet, sweet!! I adore it! I have that scripture hanging beneath my calendar to remind me that every new day "is the day that the Lord has made." And it brings two other Words to mind... that "His mercies are new EVERY morning" and the very Psalm that I have hanging beside my bed to wake up to every new day... Psalm 143:8 "Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee." If you don't mind, I would love to print out your little poem, along with the Psalm, and replace the Psalm under my calendar with it. Rejoice always in our Lord Jesus! Bless you, William. Treava
