Because of Christ's Ultimate Sacrifice, All Lives Matter

A news source recently reported on facebook that Black Lives Matter co-founder, Marissa Johnson, stated that white people need to "sacrifice" things in order to be equal to blacks. I have some news for her. Jesus Christ already made the ultimate sacrifice by dying on the cross 2,000 years ago. Because of this, all lives matter. Everyone can experience forgiveness, hope, and peace, regardless of economic status. 

    Each person is special in God's eyes. Jesus came to give an abundant life (John 10:10) of things the world cannot give. There are many people of all diffferent races who have made the decision to have a personal relationship with God. There are churches where whites, blacks, hispanics, and other races, all worship together. They are all part of the family of God, whose hearts and lives have been transformed by His grace and love. We are all equal in our need for God's mercy and grace, and each person has an equal opportunity to respond to it. 

    If one says that he or she doesn't want to make it a religious issue, then let's make it practical right now. The fact is that there are white people who are sacrificing things, and there are blacks who are very well off. They have made the most of opportunities and have not made excuses. For example, look how many blacks are stars and standouts in sports. Sports would not be what they are without them. 

     What we really need are people with transformed hearts and characters. Marissa Johnson is forgetting the words of the black's very own, Martin Luther King, Jr., who said, "Do not judge a person by the color of their skin, but by the character of their heart."

     In the Lord Jesus Christ, all are equal who have chosen to allow their character to be transformed by His power. Galatians 3:28 says, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." There will always be different social and economic levels, but God loves each person equally. He can give each person a purpose for living, and that purpose is not to stir up racial tension. 

     
     God loves Marissa Johnson as much as He loves anyone else!
