3 499 3450: ⁠⁠⁠The Marriage Bed

The marriage bed is not the 6 x 6 bed in the Master bedroom of couples. The marriage bed symbolises the sanctity, covenant and purity that marriage entails. The scripture says: "MARRIAGE IS HONOURABLE IN ALL, AND THE BED UNDEFILED: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge."- Hebrews 13:4
Marriage is honourable in all, the bed undefiled. In other words, what makes a marriage honorable is the undefiled bed. This points to the life of Purity each person lives out. The marriage bed isn't set in marriage, it is prepared before marriage and continues for a Life time.

Imagine a bed, clean and tidy (Representing Marriage), think of one person coming in with soiled garments and laying on the bed, and another party coming in with clean garments and laying on that same bed. After a while of turning and changing positions during sleep, there would be no difference between the one that had a soiled garment and the one that had a clean garment. There would have been a mix. That's how it is.

It's who you are that determines the kind of bed(Marriage) that you would have. That life of Purity begins from now as a single. Marriage isn't a magic portion that changes a sinner into a saint, neither is it a detergent that washes away character defects. Anything you want in your marriage is a fruit, begin cultivating the seeds from today.

Keeping your marriage bed undefiled doesn't start after you say 'I Do' it starts before then, even Now that you're a single.

ACTION POINT
1. Identify areas in your character where adjustments need to be made. Work on creating changes in those areas.

Lord, help me to keep my marriage bed undefiled even from now in Jesus Name.
