The prayer of a prisoner who was redeemed.

Who would like to come back after having moved ahead,

Come back to rest in despair and mournful solace.

Who would like to be contained in a cell,

In a lonely and dreadful place.

Is this a place to repair, or a place to tear,

Is this a place to care, or a place of utter despair.

Why was I destined to this pitiable state,

What made a thief of him who was known to be great.

This place of endless time,

O how will I live through

O why did I commit the sin

O what did I do!!!

I wish for my loved ones

To be with them again

O when will I be relieved

Of this misery and pain.

Can I receive pardon

For all that I have done,

Will I get one more chance

For my life to begun.

O King of kings and Lord of Lords

You alone are worthy of all praise

I humble myself before Thee now,

From me, do not turn away  Your face.

I will try to live my life

All of my days now for Thee

For all I have done till now

Could you please pardon me?

I know I deserve what I have got

This pain and sorrow I have begot

Lord let Thy mercy heal me now

I’ll take care to fulfill all I vow

To Thee alone will now ever be my praise

I will always cherish Your awesome grace

I will always seek Thy benevolent face

O My King my sins You did erase.

Thy cross has brought the victory

My sinful self is now history

I’ll ever rejoice in Thee alone

As ‘redeemed’ I’ll stand before Thy throne.
