What is a perfect day? Sunshine, fun, no problems, no stress?

I had the perfect day today. It was rainy, our wifi quit working and my husband had to unexpectedly run to town for an errand.

You see, last night I became determined to sit down and write all day today. From the moment I woke up until my fingers and brain could think no more I vowed to ignore all distractions and devote my entire day to writing.

This would be hard as I have not picked up a pen and paper, so to speak, in over a week. I let my creative spirit run afoul with a new hobby of weaving which took me to a completely other world. But I have a commitment, an assignment, I must turn in some writing to our writer’s group tomorrow and, I have nothing.

So determined, I prayed to God to let his words flow through to mine. Lord, help me be encouraging to those who need it to the glory of your name.

God's answer to my prayer was not exactly what I expected but it was perfect none the less.

Our wifi quit working which eliminated a lot of my distractions. As we all know the internet can wipe out 2 hours of your day without blinking an eye.

The sun did not come out and the clouds dropped rain all day thus making the action of going outside another distraction I would not be tempted with.

And my husband, bless his heart, left for town this morning to buy a new wifi which took away yet another distraction from me.

So, I prayed again.

Thank you God, for giving me this perfect day. Now I can write!
